At this point I am completely baffled as to why this is happening, I have an ADS DVD Express USB2.0 Capture system, my gaming machine can capture all day no problems, but I have a second computer I was trying to designate as my capture machine so as not to tie up my gaming rig.

Heres the specs of the second machine;
Win2K Pro SP4
AMD XP 2700+ Thoroughbred CPU
MSI KT4VL Motherboard
GF4 TI-4400/128mb Graphics Card
2/512mb Kingston and 1/512mb Corsair = Total 1,536mb RAM
Maxtor ATA/133 7200rpm/8mb cache HDD
M-Audio Delta 1010LT Sound Card[Stereo DJ purposes no Audio Acceleration]

My problem is only happening with the capture program, I start the program it freezes and thats it, I dropped the RAM back to a single 512mb module, and was able to capture for 2min, one of my friends suggested I needed more RAM so I added another 1024mb and now the capture stops instantly.

The machine is way past the requirements listed on the box for system spec requirements, including the operating System on it, anyone out there run into this situation? or have any idea as to what the problem could be?

It allows a preview of what its capturing and the preview just freezes, and the building of the captured file stops, the machine doesn't crash, you can stop the program and restart it, and it will begin capturing for a few seconds and freeze again, it gives no error messages at all????

Man this thing has me baffled!!!

Any Ideas?

Well heres an extremely late update, I originally thought the M/B was the problem changed it out and at first it seemed OK then the problem returned causing me to loose more of my hair now I'm bald on top. :D

Anyhow the true problem was the M-Audio Delta 1010 is a resource hog and conflicts arose with capturing and also DVD playback using any type DVD player software.

Swapped the M-Audio soundcard out for an old Turtle Beach Santa Cruz I had laying around and the problem completely disappeared.
