do i need 2 different software companies products to accurately and easily compress AND edit my videos? I made the mistake of recording high school basketball games in sony's highest resolution, over 12gb per game.
Editing software will have options to select different codecs and compression options. You can also just transcode the video if you don't need to edit it. A lot of people use handbrake which is free. It's what I use when I just dump vids straight to youtube. It's really good and has all the modern codecs and plenty of options.
