Video Editing laptop under $1800

I'm going into the world of hour long 1080p video editing, which i did it on Premiere Pro. But i was wondering if my laptop (ASUS X450JN - i7-4710HQ - NVIDIA 840M 2GB - RAM 8GB - 1TB SSHD - 1366x768) need an upgrade to another laptop. I never edited below 1080p videos. So, is there any good laptop for this? (I know that macbook pro is definitely the one but is it worth switching from i7 to i5?)

Or if you see it useless, what is the best upgrade for my laptop?

i'd wait skylakes supposed to have unlocked cores on laptops so i imagine some pretty interesting stuff in the works with laptop manufacturers.
