Video format play on my sony DAV DZ-310

hello guys...,
i Have sony Home Theatre system DAV DZ-310.....n i want to play movies through my pen drive ....it supports mp4,divx but ... i m unable to play movies .....some times it plays only audio in mp4 ......guys plz help me which video codecs and video container can ply on it....and which software do i have to use for converting...!!

Maybe you need to put them in another format! Try .avi , and you can use any video converter.
