I currently own a Sony lcd, a Mitsubishu 52" DLP 1080p, and recently bought a Vizio 37" lcd with the 120Mz and 50,000 to 1 contrast ratio from Costco for $700.00 I will say I have never had or seen a TV with the sharpness, color and clarity until I bought the Vizio LCD. I compared it with all the other TV's I own and have seen and this one by far, is the tops!! If it breaks, I guess you will all be right. But then again my Mitsubishi had to be repaired twicw already.

" bought a Vizio 37" lcd with the 120Mz and 50,000 to 1 contrast ratio"
I bought the same Vizio set and, as the other post suggested, did the side by side comparison with Samsung, Sony, Philips, and Sharp. The Vizio looked as good or better than the others. It has also been pointed out here that all the brands are basically using panels made by just a few manufacturers so it stands to reason that they would all look about the same. So why pay the extra $$$ for a brand name? Reliability maybe? Despite extensive Internet searching I find no hard evidence that one brand is any more reliable that any other. Perhaps and earlier post here about the time it takes to get parts is valid. I would love it if someone would post a link to a valid test that ranks reliability of the different brands. That would be great!

In the meantime, like the other ricomarko said; "if it breaks". Well I might not be right but I bought the extended warranty too.

For those talking bad about Vizio,U guys are talking out of your A**ES! I own 2 and they are great TV's. Quality is there! Pictures is freakin' smooth and clear!!!

Ha if vizio is a bad company then you dont want to buy LG either because vizio buys all of there tv components from them!!!
