vizio sb3830-c6m constantly searches for a device to connect to using bluetooth

the bar lights go up and down as it's searching for a device , and the volume raises itself on its own when sound comes back

Not really sure what you are asking, yes when you have bluetooth on it will search for a device to connect to. Or are you saying it never connects to anything? Did you contact Vizio support?

so as i'm watching something on tv , the soundbar sound cuts out and bluetooth searches for a device .... and does this every five minutes or so .. so i've just been leaving it disconected because it's quite frustrating to hear the sound go on and off while trying to watch a movie . but i want to fix it ,because i loved how it worked before . but no i haven't contacted vizio support.

Maybe the bluetooth pair button on the device is stuck or went bad.
