vizio soundbar problem

I recently purchased a 29" 2.0 Vizio sounder for my Vizio TV. I havew connected the soundbar to the TV with different connections supplied but I still cannot get any sound from the soundbar. There is power, and I have tried everything. Any help would be appreciated. I also have an ATT U-Verse receiver next to the TV.

Did you set the TV audio to output to the external speaker in the TV options? The soundbar also has different inputs, make sure it's set to the correct one you are using. Usually the optical one is best.
