Hi Everyone, I was watching TV today 8-9-24 and suddenly my Vizio smartcast screen went black; when it came back on it had the screenshot #1 asking me to accept or decline ads and click-tracking; naturally I declined which popped up screen #2 telling me it was mandatory and I had no option but to "accept" it but I could turn it off later if I decided to (I bet!).
I rebooted the TV, ensured all the ads and tracking were turned off via the system menu for the TV but it persists. This TV is several years old and this is the first time I have encountered this.
Henry T. Casey did an article on this back in 2017 and Vizio has been sued successfully over this.
