VLC can't read mkv properly

Hi guys! I am having a hard time using vlc on my mkv files and I am wondering what might seem to be the problem because the graphics are pixelated and the audio is way slower. I hope you could help me fix this. Thank you

Yeah that usually happens when your gpu can't keep with the video being played.
