want to choose a laptop

hello.i am a new programming student. i have seen hp envy 15 touchsmart and dell ispiron 17 7000 series and asus n550jk .all of them has quite similiar configuration.but which one's performance is really better? i can not decide which one i should buy..pls can anyone tell me which one will be better for me considering all aspects such as gaming, using linux.

Are you considering gaming while having Linux as OS or gaming and using linux as secondary OS?

If you want to game on Linux, a midrange config will suit you best.

If it's the latter, get a system with large storage. And, touch screens are just a novelty feature so don't get hung up on it.

many people said me that asus performance is not so good as hp or dell.is that true?thats why i am little bit afraid about asus?

Why don't you take a look on Lenovo's offerings.
The Z50 is good but I see you haven't mentioned your budget.
