i have a problem here.. i like to ask how do i unlock the master password of my western digital hard drive

this is my model:
wdc wd1600 bevt-22a23t0

any way of unlocking it?? or is there a way?

Do you know the password? Did you password protect your drive? Sometimes a drive will report that it is security locked when it is in fact faulty.

i dont know the password i forgot it a long time ago.... but now i unlock it. and the problem is that it says that the drive is freeze. my hard drive is detected in BIOS setup. and in the windows 7 installer but when i try to install a OS it says. "windows cannot format a partition on disk 0. the error occurred while preparing the partition selected for instalation . error code 0x80070057" and now iam stuck with it....

i tried my best to make that hard drive functioning again but still no luck..
