More troubleshooting is needed:
Did you try another known working cable?
Will the TV work with another set of speakers in place of the sound bar?
Will the sound bar work with another TV in place of the Samsung?
You need to determine if one of the three could be faulty..
If all are proven to work then most likely there is a setup/configuration problem.
Google instructions can be okay but sometimes are not fully applicable or otherwise incomplete.
My suggestion is to get the User Manual/Guides for both the TV and Sound Bar and compare the connection diagrams (if any).
Failing that visit the respective websites and look for further guidance or assistance.
