WE took a ton of pictures today on the Canon Rebel XT

We took over 400 photos at the zoo today and when downloading them to the computer it said it could not do 299 of them. They are on the camera but even trying another computer did not allow us to transfer them. What are our options. We have a card adaptor but what do we do with that

You use the card reader with the memory card that's in the camera. Insert the memory card into the reader and then attach the reader to the computer.
