Alright, I'm not that knowledgeable when it comes to the technical aspect of things so I'm hoping people who are might have some input.
The situation is that I'm interested in having a configuration like this:
Why would I want a set-up like that if there are much simpler alternatives like all in one headsets that have mute functionality already on them? I just do. So I want to know if the configuration above should be functional.
The footswitch I'm referring to is this: Footswitch
What concerns me is that the footswitch is obviously meant for low-impedance upper-end type of microphones. It is listed as being 600 ohm impedance input/output but I usually see most pc microphones as being listed in the 2 kohm range. Would that render it completely nonfunctional? If so, would using line matching transformers fix it? Any input/ideas?
