The Laserdisc Archive has 2 seperate listings for 2 different players, both
named CLD-95 and both released in 1995. One is titled simply CLD-95 and appears
to say "Reference Compatible Laserdisc Player" on the front left side, while
the other is title Pioneer Elite CLD-95 and has an "Elite" tag on it. How can
they have 2 players with the same name? What are the differences?

The ones marked Elite were 120V models available in the US. The ones
without Elite markings had the international voltage selection wheel on the
rear.
If you have the manual, or look at the spec sheet from the Laserdisc Archive
site, you'll see written reference to both models. Other than power, they
have the same specs.
