Westinghouse 42 inch TV WD42UT4490

I have a 42 inch Westinghouse TV I bought at Target on clearance almost a year ago. At first I thought the remote was broke, so Westinghouse sent me a new remote. Now it is doing the same thing again.
They want me to ship it to a wherehouse. Has this happened to anyone else with this model tv?

have you tried replacing the batteries in the remote?

have you tried replacing the batteries in the remote?

The TV does stuff different than I enter in the remote...ie...when I change channels the TV mutes, or turns off.

I've tried everything you and they suggested.
