I'm looking for some good computer speakers to buy? Nothing super cheap but nothing crazy expensive either. I'm looking for speakers w/ a subwoofer ofc and one that can give "good sound" when I'm listening to music. It doesnt matter about gaming since I use headphones for gaming, but yeah music I guess.

My price range is $20 to $40. And depending on how great the speakers are, I might spend more.

So, any suggestions? :) Thank you!

$40 aint much for worthwhile speakers. I use NAD amp / Mission speakers for the living room PC, for the desktop / laptops I have a mixture of Creative GigaWorks T20 Series II or GigaWorks T40 Series II - both are pretty good for gaming / music duties when close to the desk and are reasonably accurate in sound. The T20's are probably available for a little over $40 in Christmas sales?

Ooooohhh that's true. Well I wouldn't mind spending a bit more if it's as good as you say.

But I mean, any speakers are good enough for me if you have any other suggestions? Like just those 2 speakers + subwoofer type of system

Also, what are some good brands to check out? Thanks

At that price, I'd go for quality of construction and electronics over number of speakers. The 20's are actually very capable and do a cracking job, I'd happily put them up over any $20-$40 2.1 system for volume and the sound quality is very good for desktop speakers.

Or the T15's are a bargin with bluetooth as well. Not quite as refined, but I had a set of those for 3 years and they were impressive enough to persuade me to buy the other T20's & T40's.

Hmm, alright, well you make a compelling argument and am now tempted to get either the 20s or 40s haha. Thanks man

The T15's will be cheaper if you are really tight on budget - as I said still plenty powerful, but not quite as smooth as the '20s, but you do get Bluetooth on 'em.
