If you are using Camtasia Recorder and Camtasia Studio to prepare educational videos for production environments, it is always a good idea to use the built-in Volume Leveling option and keep it to Medium or Low volume variation in order to get the optimum audio output.
Once you enable the Volume Leveling in the Camtasia Studio, you can then use the universal levelling bar available in the audio track in the timeline and increase or decrease the volume level as per your needs and for consistency.
As with other Camtasia settings, even this one also does not require any administrative intervention, and therefore even a standard user who does not have any administrative rights can perform the audio leveling task without any hassles.
By following the instructions given in this tutorial, you will learn how to make a recorded audio consistent to the audience without having any professional training, or being very cautious about the volume leveling while speaking into the microphone. Even though Camtasia allows users to make several sophisticated modifications in the audio and video files, it is always a good idea to use a good quality microphone to record the audio. If the input of the audio is clear, the output quality would be appreciable as well.
