Arma 3, Skyrim, CS:GO, DayZ, and upcoming games. On medium-high settings.

Sorry for the long link.

I was saving up money for a Pc which is 2,300 USD or so but i'm realizing that is going to take a lot of time. Would it be smart to go with a laptop for 700-800 or keep saving money for the custom PC.

I don't want to make a decision I will regret later. Thank you.

anything small you will throw at it at at least mid around 60fps most likely. Newer titles may have to get cranked down to med low or low to get 60fps but otherwise that is a solid laptop. Also though watch for overheating. In my last laptop (though much different that this one) did have relatively major overheating issues leading to thermal throttling. If you dont need the portability build a desktop and message me. I would gladly put one together for you. Good luck with your pc

Yeah I currently use an old Alienware M11x from 2011 (bad idea) So I have strong feelings against gaming laptops. They tend to overheat. I really, really want to build my own Pc which will tear through video editing and gaming but sadly it will take much longer to get the money.

I can put one together for you real quick that will be upgradable, look good, and have decent performance for under $800

I already have a part list put together. It's a high end. Gtx 780, i7 4790k 16gb ram. I want to get into heavy heavy gaming and video editing. I kind of have my back against the wall at the moment. My current laptop is at risk of failure which means my $700 will have to used to replace it. Which that money is what I'm saving for my custom PC. Idk what to do honestly.

Go with spending $700-800 on a desktop. Remember you can upgrade later. Plus for the time being that 700-800 will go much further and the desktop will have much better performance
