What is the best Ultrabook I can get for under $1000?

The only requirements I have as a student is portability and a nice display. I have been referred to the Dell XPS 13 and Lenovo laptops. I liked the XPS especially because of the bezels, but I heard it's display can be questionable at times. Especially with greenish hues towards the edges during black and white shots. Any opinions on what I should look for?
