Hi I'm in the market for a laptop (cannot be Windows 8.0-64bit but has to be Windows 64bit). and here's what I need it to be able to do ranking from most important to least important:

1.Run 3D modeling softwares like AutoCAD and SolidWorks
2.Battery life at least 6-8 hours
3.Light (have to carry it around)
4.Can run intensive graphics very smoothly (it'd be nice to have but not top priority)

Budget wise I hope it won't exceed 400, thanks everyone

I've looked through it and found some options that I'm not sure if it'll work. It looks okay on paper, would any of these be okay?

Hi there. As Solidworks (for the 99% of usage) doesn't use a GPU. find anything with8* Gb of Ram. Next when you have your choices, use a comparison website like CPUboss and find out wich of your choices has the best CPU, that's what youll need most next.
Basically hardware wise 8 Gb of ram & best availble processor.
For 2 & 3 just search away and look at spec sheets.
Good luck
