So, a while back I found a media converter I really liked, and have been using it on my laptop ever since. Then, just recently I got a new desktop and want to have the same media converter on it.. Sooo, I thought it would be easy to find the same media converter online, however, after lots of searching, I wasn't able to find it.. The title of it is just 'Media Converter, and and its a program and nothing else... I've looked through my entire computer, downloads, and everything, and still cant find any documents/installer for it... The media converter icon looks like this: http://i.imgur.com/nKO6eJW.jpg?1?8634 and the actual program looks like this: http://i.imgur.com/nwWpWhE.jpg?1?4654

If someone could find the program, or tell me how I could find the program, that would be great.

I've tried other media converters, but I dont like them as much... If you cant find the program, recommendations for a good media converter would be appreciated..

Thanks!

I don't recognize it. I know it's not what you're looking for, but Format Factory is a fantastic program that converts pretty much any type of file you could think of.

Try right clicking on the icon and then clicking on properties to find the name of the program. It should give you the full path of where it is installed and the name of the program. Once you have located the install directory you may find additional information there. Look for the license agreement and see if you can find the name of the maker of the software. Doing a Google search for "media converter" yields too many results to narrow it down.

The name of it literally is 'Media Converter'..... So If you google search it you get a hundred other results... I looked at the properties and the only other information I could find was its a .Ink file, the 'Description' of it is: YouTubeDownloader (I don't know why)... the name of the program technically is Media Converter.Ink

I have searched only to find nothing. Have you looked under Program files to see if it is there or tried Add/Remove programs to see if you can find it in the list? I searched downloads.com only to find nothing helpful. What other video converters have you tried? Have you tried Handbrake or MPEG Streamclip?

I'm having the same problem, new laptop and I want the Media Converter on my old one. It's the same converter you're on about. It's so frustrating I can't find it anywhere! I looked under 'Properties' to find other information to help my search, but no luck.

I've also tried other media converters but I like this one!

If I find it somewhere I'll let you know.

Happy to find this forum!

:hello:

Kindly I ask your attention. :)

Well, it looks like you have downloaded or where downloading a file from YouTube with the program Media Converter.

Try to find at the next link:

https://www.google.nl/search?q=Media+Converter.Ink&rls=com.microsoft:nl:IE-SearchBox&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&sourceid=ie7&rlz=1I7ADRA_nl&gws_rd=cr&ei=KgrUUrPwOsbBtQb19oCQAw

There you will find a lot of links to go for.

About the Media Converter, you need to find out the devellopers/firms name. You could do this at the map lokation of it, here you can try to find text files, might be that the firms name is mentioned in it or try to find it at Extra/Internet option at the menubar, there you might find About, click on it and it might show some internet addresses too. You could go to the .exe of the program and right click on it and click Porportions, there are tabs you can choose from. Click on the tabs and look for it.

I would like to have a reaction about what you have found and not found. Than I could try to find the answer you might need.

Hopefully I let you known enough and that you will find the answers you seek! :)

Good luck and have fun doing it! :)

Best Regards,
