what to do if my acer laptop won't power on and the light is flashing orange

when I try to turn on my acer laptop I get nothing but a orange light on the front that comes on and goes right back off

Going to need more than that. What model is it?

Try running it on just the battery or just the AC adapter (if it's possible to remove the battery, try it at this step). Also if you have a spare adapter try that one (make sure it's the right voltage and has sufficient amperage, don't just go plugging in anything you find that fits)
