I know it depends on a lot of factors...but I'm trying to get an idea...

I would use this laptop this way:

- screen on half dim or lower
- no sound
- WiFi on
- surfing the web
- office work

Specs are:
CPU : Intel Core i5-8250U
RAM : 4GB DDR4 2133MHz
HDD : 1TB
Graphics : NVIDIA GeForce MX150 2GB
Display : 15.6 inch FHD
OS : Windows 10
battery: 2 cell 30 w/h

Is this another 1.5 hour laptop? The other module with same specs and 14 display had a 3 cell 52 w/h, but Lenovo stopped selling it...so worried the machine with 2 cell 30 w/h will be a lemon for battery life?

Not anemic batteries, but 2 factors...

1. Lighter laptop = less battery life
Lighter laptop = more sales

2. More performance from the same battery tech.
Battery tech is not advancing as fast as the rest of the system. This holds true across all realms, not just laptops. Cars, tools, etc, etc....
Check customer reviews on UK/US Amazon sites - always a good place to find out what's hot & what's not from the people who've actually bought one and use it every day, not just a quick test by a paid reviewer in a lab or office.

Example - various Lenovo 320 models - click on an item to see link to reviews:

(Use Amazon website that serves your country instead if not UK or US).

These models are sold in Thailand, no reviews, newer models also , 8th gen...

Does any body have experience with 2 cell 30 w/h batteries?

The Asus also has a tiny 2 cell 38 w/h ....

Why do 8th gen laptops have such anemic batteries?
