Exactly the same make as this except with 4gb of ram instead of 8gb. It is around 1 and a bit years old I think.

It sounds like a fair price. Laptops with a Core i5-4200u, 1366x768 resolution screen and the 840m generally sold for around $550 brand new when they were on sale in the US. That would be about $875 NZD.
