No brand preference just tell me the "great/best" ones for you...BTW I have a sennheiser 598 and a separate microphone which would've worked fine if I'm not working online and need a closed headphone (so I can focus on what i'm listening at minus the distractions outside) and a noise cancelling microphone so it won't pick up random background noises... thanks in advance

You do know that BH has the unidirectional version in stock and ships nearly worldwide right?

besides the headphones themselves acting as noise cancelling components I also need a mic and a noise cancelling one too so I guess those are out...

Why? Just get a unidirectional headset/earset mic (http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/buy/Headsets-Earsets/ci/8616/N/3681064884) like the modmic. Unless you spend >300 the only "noise canceling" you'll have in a single mic is software or unidirectional (or both)

its for doing some online consultancy and I need to hear what they say properly and hear me minus the background noise (which sadly I can't control)

and believe me I would've bought modmic if they are around my place since like I said I just happen to love my HD 598s

That makes no difference. If there is noise cancelling technology it will be in software, not hardware. The manufacturing costs of a twin mic noise cancelling mouthpiece is too high to get hardware noise cancelling mics, and the gains are too low. What you are actually looking for is referred to as "a headset with good microphone rejection" as a dynamic diaphragm microphone will not pick up sounds that have sources beyond about a 30cm away, giving you the noise cancellation you need by design. So just look for a headset with a dynamic or electret mic built in (rather than the piezoelectric mics used in most), or if you do want to spend the bucks, get a broadcast headset.

been looking around for the past 2 days for what you suggested but nah they aren't sold commercially... most likely only on "special interests" groups like the enthusiasts and stuff but sadly I don't have friends on those circles...

say does the modmic have good "microphone rejection" hence doing the noise cancelling? cause I think I can get my hands on it somehow...

If you get the unidirectional model, the mic is only sensitive to sound from the front, which when combined with proximity to your mouth means very low external noise capture. Just make sure to have manual gains, putting mic gain to automatic negates all the benefits!
