whats gone wrong

i was given a fire stick as a gift it worked very well I paired it at our internet no problem we watched it a few times then on the screen it stated "there's another account registered to this internet address" turned it off to find out how to do this , when I turned it back on its dead no sound no picture any body have any idea ?

Internet address? OR Amazon account? Did you ever register it with your Amazon account?

With the lack of display or sound though, you might want to reach out to Amazon if you've tried to reboot options (like unplugging)

Barty thanks for quick response no I did not register it we have no problem with internet connection ?

Looking at the Amazon link, it should be registered to your own Amazon account. Whoever purchased it (assuming via Amazon) has it auto-linked to their account - as per the link I posted. I suspect it's not an internet issue you were seeing, but a registration issue.

Again though, doesn't appear to be the only issue you're dealing with - and this one may be defective. If a reboot doesn't bring back your picture/sound, I'd reach out to Amazon.

Barty I will try to get in touch with amazon to see if they have blocked the fire stick thanks again will post the outcome just in case any body has the same problem
