whenever i try to click on my file icon my computer shuts down and restarts. why cant i open the folders and how can i fix t

i have a toshiba laptop with a core i5 and whenever i go to open the files, my computer will restart. it been doing this for about a week and the laptop is less than a year old. please help me

try scanning for virus, if you cant click on that too then create a kaspersky rescue disc and boot and scan

or else try to do a system restore for around 10 days ago, may be you or someone else might have changed the default program settings
