hi everyone, i am facing serious problems with my hcl me l55 series laptop.

1. i didnt set any password to any windows installations. there is no system administrator, i am the sole user, still for some system modifications it is saying contact system administrator. no one even touches this laptop. sometimes it wont let me open some files, whenever i try it says ' access denied ' contact system administrator.

2. i want to know where can i find CMOS Battery so that i can replace and see some problems may be solved.

3. i have windows xp and windows 7 installed. with four hard disk partitions(CDEF). I cant see F: drive in windows 7, but i can see all the four in windows xp. can anyone tell me what can the problem be.

i will appreciate if someone can help me.

Solution
"Contact system administrator" is software-related issue (access rights). Replacing the CMOS battery will not help (it even will not clear BIOS passwords on most modern laptops).

If you can't access F: partition - become an owner, and grant yourself the necessary rights.
