Which Chromebook to pick

Hey,

I am planning to get a chromebook.

It has to be x86 because I will be installing Linux algonside ChomeOS with Crouton.

I am a developer so Linux is a must here. Hence, I want to have 64gb storage at least. It has to be at max 14 inches, as light as possible to take to college.

Which one of these is the best? Do you recommend any other?

I kinda feel like spending 500 bucks on this, plus having to get adaptors (type c) is no good..

The Flip, easily. Not only does it have better build quality, but it has more features such as Play Store apps and a more powerful processor, the Intel Core m3.

Yeah I know, but I was getting a chromebook to get a long battery, sleek and CHEAP laptop replacement. Spending 500+ an adaptor feels like a lot do you get me?

That is exactly what I'm going through now. I looked at both of those and really didn't know which to go with. I even found an outright laptop for a good price.

This whole inexpensive laptop thing is quite a quagmire.
