Which CPU upgrade can I use on my Laptop?

I just dissassembled a Presario CQ60-417DX laptop i know that this thing is old but im using it as a self taught rebuild system and my budget isnt that high. This particular laptop does not come with the cpu soldered into place so i can remove it. The real question I have is which cpu can i use to upgrade this laptop for better use? Again I know that most people will recomend buying somthing newer, but please just enlighten me.

You can also check compatibility on http/ark.intel.com but you have to know the exact chipset, which I'm sure you can find online.

Looking through the Compaq Presario CQ60 Notebook PC Maintenance and Service Guide on page 1-1 there is a list of CPU's that are featured in that PC but it's a little tricky figuring out which you can use due to the options. By referencing the current CPU ,you should be able to figure out which column relates to your motherboard and what CPU(s) should work
