Which laptop has hdmi output to 1080p tv?

Is there any laptop with an hdmi output to which you can connect an hdmi cable (as if the laptop were a blu-ray player), and then connect to your lcd tv to watch your laptop output? For example, (1)if you want to do software demos at 1920x1080 resolution to your audience (including sound) or (2) if the laptop itself has a blu-ray player into which you insert blu-ray movies and you want to watch and listen to them on your lcd tv?

If so, which laptop model supports example 1 or 2 or both?
Anyone ever really do either of these?

Sony's usually have a BD option and are pretty easy on the eyes and mobile. Little more expensive, but I like Sony quality. I looked at an FW today and was suprised at how thin it was for a big 16" frame laptop.

I forgot to mention that's if you go big brand name or brick & mortar. There's tons of customizing sites out there. Scour the forums for good sellers.
