I'm buying a Sanyo FW24E05F 24" 720p 60Hz Class LED HDTV and I have two external speakers I want to use. Which amp works best with this set up? I only want to spend $50 or less.

Since your TV has a headphone out you can try that to power your speakers. If they are PC speakers then they will work. If not it is probably too little power but can't hurt to try it. You would need a cable with a 3.5mm stereo plug at he TV end and either 2 RCA plugs or 4 bare wires at the speaker end (depends on the speakers)
If it doesn't work you need any kind of audio amplifier.

or an amp board with power supply, Parts Express has those too.

Get a set of Logitech - z533 Multimedia Speakers or Logitech Z323 2.1 Speakers. They will hook up to the audio out ports on your TV and work just fine.
It's going to be very hard to find any stereo amp for under $50.
