I'm an engineering student and am planning to buy a laptop to replace my pretty old desktop. I have narrowed the option to hp envy 15 - j111tx or dell15r 5537. Both with 4th gen i7,8gig ram(ddr3) and 1 tb hdd.
Now the cpu on the hp envy is better than dell, but vice versa on gpu. The rest don't matter much.
Hp - i7 4700mq + gt 740m
Dell - i7 4500u + hd 8850m
Oh, btw I'll be using it for CAD and gaming.
Ps: I have seen lots of people having problems with amd graphics, I had one with my desktop card too. So is getting hp with quad core better than dual core of dell?
