which one to go for ?? please help

after going through the reviews of lots of really cool laptops , im totally perplexed !!
what should i really buy ?! please suggest me
my minimum specs are :
HDD -> 750 GB - 1 TB
System memory -> 2GB - 6GB
GPU -> 1GB or 2GB
Processor -> i5 , i7 or AMD equivalent
i also have some queries regarding which processor to choose .. either intel or AMD ???
im doing my UG in EEE , currently in my pre final year.. and i need laptop for using softwares such as MATLAB, LABVIEW, PowerSIM etc .. and for mid range gaming .. which processor would suit my needs ?? please help me with suggestions as i'm in a hurry to buy a laptop soon .. MY BUDGET IS less than 40k ... im looking for brands like Toshiba, ASUS and other flagship variants ..

40k in what currency? Rupee?

For "mid range gaming" you are looking at close to $1,000 US equivilent.

You need to state your currency or convert it in US dollars because obviously it is not a budget of 40 ,000 US$.
