Whole home music control device

I have a speaker system throughout the house, but the only way to use inputted audio is on my main floor. Is there a device that I can use to wirelessly control my homes audio through mobile devices? (android phones and tabs, and perhaps ipads/iphones?

A lot of modern recievers let you control them through an app or through a webpage, and the receiver themsevles can stream any audio from a network, etc. Other option is a small streaming box like a western digital live box, it has an android apps and web page interface. it can play your whole music library, etc.

A Sonos Connect should work for you. You can use more than one if you system supports multiple zones.
