why did my laptop gpu stop working?

awhile ago, around a year, one of my old laptops gpu died it was a amd graphics card, in lenovo laptop. one day when i was gaming on it, it randomly went blue screen. so i took it to a computer store to get it fix. so they reinstalled windows 7 but after i checked my graphics card and they said it couldn't be fixed. does anyone know why? i was wondering about this for years now? when i reinstalled the graphics card the computer just freezes and it doesn't install.

The card just may well be gone/going. It happens. There could be any number of reasons how/why.

i gus your right, it was a pretty old laptop, my sister is using it now lol but the graphic card is dead the other graphic card sucks its a intel chip my sis can still run leauge XD. anyways thx for the answer
