Question why does my left shift on separate keyboard which is plugged into my laptop not working?

my keyboard left shift doesnt work, when i boot up it acts like its being held down and all commands act as if shift is being used, but when i press my left shift on my laptop keyboard it works but the left shift on my keyboard is not usable, this problems sometimes goes away for months then comes back and the cycle reapets, this been happening since 2020.

Strange...have you tried it in other USB ports?

From partitionwizard.com:
Step 1: Go to Settings > Ease of Access > Keyboard.

Step 2: Then you can see the settings for Sticky/Filter/Toggle Keys. Just slide the button to turn them off.

I don't know if that would affect only one shift key, but you might as well check it.
