Why GTA 5 lags a lot in my laptop with i5 processor and 4gb ram.

I have an ASUS (X541U model) laptop with 4gb ddr4 RAM , 2gb nvidia 920mx graphics card, i5 6198 processor.

My configuration meets the minimum requirements of the game but still I am not able to play the game without lags even in low setting.

Is there any solution to fix this problem or I need to upgrade my laptop??

Where did you see the 920m meets minimum requirements? The minimum gpu is laughably a NVIDIA 9800 GT , the 920m is a hair slower. The 920m has as much power as intels HD 4600 iGPU.

You don't have enough RAM or a fast enough video card for GTA V to run smoothly. Many slowness issues with GTA V are helped with going to 8 GB of RAM from 4, but in your case it still leaves you with a slow video card.
