Why is Outlook running out of memory?

Why does the Business Contact Manager fail? Please tell me this is not a malware problem?
I am trying to use Outlook 2007 Professional with Business Contact Manager.
I have two small .pst files that I use in Outlook. One is 240 MB and the other is 1,400 MB. Before I add a Business Contact Manager database the two .pst files work fine together. (And I have had a .pst file in the past that was 1,900 MB and worked fine).
And if I remove either of the .pst files and then add an empty BCM database everything seems to work OK. However, if I have both .pst files active and then try to add a new (empty) BCM database, I get the following message when Outlook attempts to start: "Cannot start processing services. There is not enough free memory to run this program. Quit one or more programs and then try again. And there are no programs other than Outlook running. This machine is running XP with SP3 and has 4 GB of Ram which should be waaaaaaay more than enough to handle this load. What is wrong? I am totally stumped at this point and am not sure what to even try next.

dude you dont know what small is, 2024 MB is 2gig of information, in outlook any files above 1gb start to become unstable, this is why most business limit the size of mailbox's.

Actually, I have been running a 2.4GB .pst for almost a year and it has been rock steady stable. Outlook has no problem at all with my 2 little .pst files without the BCM (and SQL Server underneath).

However, as a test I did cut my big pst file down to just under 500 MB.
Still the same result. Outlook rund fine with the pst files, but craps out when a BCM database is added.

Looking less and less like a malware problem and more and more like a bug in either BCM or SQL Server.

I could not get my out of memory error corrected and my copy was outside the 90-day window for Microsoft support. So, I had to give up on BCM. Am now looking for a different Contact Manager.
