why isn't my acer laptop aspire R11 charging

hi
i have been charging my laptop (aspire R11) for 4 days but still no sign of what is wrong.
although the charger is good and is working perfectly there is an orange light appearing from the battery button. sometimes it turns blue then back to orange again.all of my important files was in that laptop, so what should i do?

Can you power up the laptop while connected off the power brick? If so then that's a opportunity to back up your critical data. Since the laptop's battery is encased int eh chassis, you're going to have to contact tech support and ask them to retrieve the data on it if the entire laptop is going to be RMA'd. If the laptop battery is all that needs replacing then you can instruct them to leave the HDD alone.

The laptop’s orange light disappears whenever the laptop is not charging and appears when the laptop is charging .i have tried opening it several times but it still doesn’t work
