why my videocard puts sound and video out of dvi to hdmi cable

but i know that every videocable like hdmi dvi and vga puts out video.
But i didnt know that dvi puts audio and video same time TOO.
And what cable i am using: belkin DVI to HDMI cable

no it doesn't. Can you post the link of this this belkin dvi to hdmi cable?

I have read that there were some video cards that did output audio via DVI so it's easier to use that connection with a cable rather than an active converter.
