Will a dead motherboard battery keep a 1450 solo from coming on at all?

have a solo 1450 won't turn on . Will dead m/board batt. stop it from turning on

No, the battery is only needed to save bios settings, you can still turn it on. Are you on battery or is it plugged in?

Was working turned off unit and wouldn't turn back on . No lights nothing suggestions?

Was pluged in ,have two power cords.

Well if you can check all connections you can try that, any loose switches or cables. And make sure it's not the wall socket that went out from a blown fuse or something. Otherwise something died and it's so old it's not worth fixing. You can take the hdd out and put it in another computer if there's any files you need on it.
