I recently purchased a sound bar and it has a Optical port(spdif) but my tv doesn't have one. I have some rca audio cable that came with the sound bar i guess i can use those right? But is there a converter of some sorts that would allow me to in a sense put an optical port on my tv?

What is your TV model number? Does your TV have an earphone jack, or Red/White RCA jack written "Audio Out" on it?
If it has an RCA Audio Out port, connect this directly to the sound bar.

If it doesn't have either an RCA audio out, headphone jack and optical out, then your best best is an Audio Extractor:

Essentially, anything plugged on the HDMI input will have its sound extracted and sent to the sound bar. I suggest getting an HDMI switch if you have multiple electronics to...
