Will these headphones work with my PC?

I am looking to buy the Sennheiser HD 461 (or the 471's) headphones soon, and I'm trying to see if the headphones will be able to work on my computer. I realize that it outputs using a 3.5mm jack, and I only plan on using these headphones for its sound capabilities, and not the microphone included. What I want to do is buy these headphones, and then add the ModMic 4.0 onto it to make a pretty decent headset in theory.

As long as your headset has a 3.5m jack, it will by default work. If it has a USB tip, I assume it will come with a CD loaded with drivers, then it will work. This sounds like it will work as long as the right software is included.

They'll work fine, just make sure you disable the headphones mic in Sound settings (it may or may not be there) and choose the ModMic as the default mic.
