I have an old JVC TH-A55 5.1 Channel. It has a Digital In Optical.

I have a newly built desktop pc with an Asus A320M-K motherboard with SPDIF OUT-digital audio connector.

I plan to install a daughter card to my motherboard to avail of its SPDIF OUT. Sort of a bridge between my JVC and my desktop.

It should work just fine. I had a similar set up with my Home Theater PC, hooked up to my Onkyo HT-S3200 5.1 surround sound system a number of years ago.
