Windowes 7 free upgrade

I just got my a new HP laptop, but it has Vista on it. I believe i qualify for the free upgrade to 7. but i have few questions before I sine up.

Is this a just an upgrade or can I do a clean install?
If i can do a clean install. I have a blu-ray drive and i will need the HP media program to play Blu-ray. can i download this somewhere else?

You can do a clean install. Usually HP sends all their software and such with their computers; have you checked the DVDs? If not, check HP's support website for the software.

My laptop didn't come with any DVDs It has a pice of paper that said the images are on the Harddrive or something. So i could burn them my self. I will try that and see.
