windows 10 with aniversary upgrade running well
try to install developers edition , says this pc cannot run win 10
intel core i5 -2400, x64, 4 GB ram ; 64bit oS win10 version 1607

I saw a hint somewhere mentioning a registry key setting but couldnt fint the same key in my registry

Where do you get the idea it thinks it's running from a USB drive? You didn't elaborate on that?

As for the error message, I assume it's during the "checking your PC" compatibility check?

AFAIK there was no change to W10 requirements with the Creators Update from a high level anyway.... 1GHz CPU, 2GB RAM, DX9 and 20GB HDD space.

one message during upgrade said " you cannot upgrade w10 when running from usb" i dont recal l precise wording

on w few occasions , not related to upgrade during startup i saw mesage " do not remove USB stick "

a suggestion was that registry had error in a setting rrelated to this

I never started from usb It was nor mal install on desktip pc
