Windows 7 Gateway Laptop Recovery partition not showing up as a drive letter and wont hold any system recovery points. This is the 4th time I have had to restart from Factory Default and it still wont save a system restore point. Please help....
a recovery partition is just that a recovery partition. they don't get a drive letter and you cant read/write to them in windows. If your wanting to store system recovery points or backups then buy a second drive and save them to that. I like to use external drives for any backups so if the main drive does crash it wont take out all the recovery points / backups
ok, but my desktop only has one hdd but 2 drive letters, I've searched everywhere in the tower for a second drive but there is none, why can't I do this on my laptop?
