I installed Windows 7 Pro on new hard drive. I am trying to load Office 2010 but it keeps stalling. I have tried turning off compatability mode, loading in safe mode, I have even ran Fixit and nothing works. What am I doing wrong?

Solution
Just wanted to say thanks to all who tried to help. I solved the issue. I had Office 2003 on disc, I installed it, and then done an upgrade of Office 2010 and it worked, no issues other than being slow . Don't know how or why it just did. Thanks again.

It gets past entering the product key then installs to about 50% and just stalls.

This didn't work. Now I am getting a setup error. Set up is unable to proceed due to the following error(s):
To install and use this product, you must be running one of the following operating systems:

- windows 7

- Windows XP SP3
- Windows Server 2008

x64 platform

Correct the issue(s) listed above and re-run setup.
